AFFA is a social justice organization achieving
equality and acceptance for gay, lesbian, bisexual
and transgender people.
We're gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender persons and
straight allies uniting to eliminate prejudice based
on sexual orientation. We have over 1600 donor/members and
friends of AFFA and are headquartered in
Charleston, SC.
Within our site, you'll find our operating
principles, some of our programs and activities,

Charleston Rally for MARRIAGE
EQUALITY with Alliance For Full Acceptance
(AFFA) and our cosponsors on the steps of the US Custom
House—East Bay Street in Charleston.
We gather on the 48th anniversary of
the Selma march and on the eve of the Supreme Court
hearings about whether lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgender (LGBT) Americans should have the freedom to
marry. We are joining organizations in cities across the
nation to shine a light on the broad support for
marriage equality from coast to coast. 6:00 PM on
Monday, March 25, 2013 on the steps of the U.S. Custom
House at East Bay and Market Streets in downtown
Charleston.
The event is free and open to the
public. All LGBT people and allies who believe in
equality and justice are encouraged to attend. An
exciting lineup of speakers will be published.
